Health and Safety

water glassWater is vital to everyone's health and well-being, and plumbing systems are designed to carry that water to a building's occupants as conveniently as possible. But water tends to absorb chemicals from its surroundings. If a piping system contains any hazardous or toxic materials, these can get into drinking water and into the bodies of the people using it. Systems made from materials that are not inert to water and joined by solders or glues can cause serious harm to people using them.

Health and safety are important concerns, and that's why Aquatherm has developed a system that is inert to water and completely free of toxic materials. Even the purest water won't absorb any chemicals from the Aquatherm Green Pipe system, ensuring that the piping system never affects the people drinking from it.

Another health concern, particularly with plastic piping systems, is the toxicity of the pipe during combustion. In the event of a fire, many types of plastics produce noxious by-products which can harm and even kill people. But Aquatherm's piping systems are made from over 97% pure polypropylene, a thermoplastic with no harmful by-products. In a fully developed fire, Aquatherm Green Pipe and Aquatherm Blue Pipe systems will only produce CO2 and H2O gas.

Aquatherm's pipe and fittings are free of all dangerous chemicals, helping to maximize health and safety of the end-user, whether in extreme circumstances or just in everyday life.
