Potable Water Systems

Potable water systems are an important part of buildings and our everyday lives. Our systems are designed to be non-leaching, chemically pure, and highly resistant to corrosion.

PP-R is an ideal material for potable water because it doesn’t affect the water it carries. The heat fusion connections keep the system free of hazardous chemicals. And green’s distinct coloring blocks sunlight from passing through the pipe wall and promoting biofilm formation, ensuring that drinking water is kept pure from the source to the destination. When using PP-R in a domestic hot water recirculating system, please refer to our technical bulletin before installing.

aquatherm green is available from ½” to 18″ in diameter and can be used for both hot and cold potable systems. green is approved for potable water under the UPC, IPC, IRC and in accordance with the CSA. It has been deployed in hospitals, hotels, office buildings, homes, and numerous other projects across North America.
